Ben Affleck hits ‘The Town’ with a New Trailer

Ben Affleck made his feature directorial debut with the critically-lauded crime-drama, Gone Baby Gone. After roles in State of Play and Extract, he’s slipped back into the directors chair with The Town, written by Peter Craig, Chuck Hogan and with contributions from Ben Affleck himself.

Starring Ben Affleck (Hollywoodland), Blake Lively (The Private Lives of Pippa Lee), Jon Hamm (Howl) and Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker), The Town centres on a longtime thief as he tries to balance his feelings for a bank manager connected to one of his earlier heists, as well as the FBI agent looking to bring him and his crew down.

Warner Bros. have now released the first trailer and, with strong performances and an assured directing job from Affleck, it could attract some mild awards buzz when it’s released in September.
