Peter Jackson Goes in Search of Cast for The Hobbit

The woes of The Hobbit have been well publicised but it seems that even though the movie hasn’t been Greenlit, this hasn’t stopped Peter Jackson from going in search of his cast. THR are reporting that:

Peter Jackson is in Los Angeles this week quietly meeting with actors. The casting trip, which also included stops in New York and the U.K., underscores the progress being made on a complex series of deals to bring J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic fantasy novel to the big screen.

So this is good news in my book. Even though MGM are still in HUGE financial debt, it’s nice to know that the movie is still progressing with Jackson at the helm. No news as yet on who these actors actually are but we’ll keep you posted.
