The Experiment Trailer Arrests

Currently to be found going up against Nimrod Antal’s Predators, Adrien Brody will next be seen in your home thanks to a straight to DVD release for Columbia Pictures’ The Experiment.

It’s strange to see a film with two stars such as Brody and Forest Whitaker bypass the cinema completely but there’s a good chance we’ll see more of this as the studios cram their 3D spectacles and sequels into our cinemas.

The new trailer for The Experiment shows what looks to be a taut thriller, with some sort of social commentary shoehorned in amidst the tension and violence. This is a remake of the 2001 film Das Experiment which places a group of men inside a prison and randomly assigns the status of prisoner and guard to each, then stands back to see what happens.

Paul Scheuring is behind the camera for this one which also stars Maggie Grace, Cam Gigandet and Channing Tatum.

This trailer gives the game away, but compels us to wonder what happens when the rules are finally broken.

The film is out in the US on the 21st of September.
