BVonmovies.com has released the first image of former model turned actor Boris Kodje (see below) in his latest role as Luther West in the forth installment of the average yet compelling Resident Evil franchise codenamed ‘Afterlife’.
The character of Luther West is a leader of a group of survivors in L.A. who Alice (Milla Jovovich) finds at a jail surrounded by them wonderful walking dead meat eaters and they team up to get themselves and others to safety and no doubt enter into more adventures to fight the Umbrella corporation.
The franchise seems to be growing in complexity with more and more characters being added to the quadrilogy including Prison Breaks Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield, who appeared in three of the video games, who is the sister of Claire Redfield (Ali Larter reprising her role from Extinction), and also returning is Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory who also reprises her role from Apocalypse). With Albert Wesker also joining the plot again this is looking like the ultimate collection of characters from the iconic video game finally coming together for hopefully the final battle against Umbrella.
Synopsis: In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.
Of course the forth installment is in 3D and from the trailer (found here) I actually have high hopes for it (even though Paul W.S Anderson directs again) and yet despite it’s bound to have a lot of gimmicky in your face 3D I think it will probably be a lot better than some of the recent efforts like Clash of Titans. It’s going to please fans of the series no doubt and i’m looking forward to it.
