I’ve woken up to exiting British movie news this morning. While going through my twitter feed, I saw that Jonathan Ross (think of him as the British David Letterman who does a similar show once a week – see him interview Jake Gyllenhaal and cook an iPad here!) has tweeted that his wife, Jane Goldman is working with Matthew Vaughn on the next X Men film.
Tweet: Also, for those who need to know, my wife IS currently writing X men First Class. It’s just referred to as X men 4 around the house…
The team have recently worked together on awesome British independent movie, Kick-Ass with stunning results. Jane was responsible for writing the screen-play for Kick-Ass along with Vaughn and the pair obviously work well together with their working going noticed by 20th Century Fox who own the rights to the X-Men franchise.
Ross also tweeted that the movie is expected for release some time in 2011. This is great news for British film. You can see our interview with Jane Goldman talking Kick-Ass here.
