Trailer for Waiting for “Superman”

Directed by Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth), Waiting for “Superman” is a documentary that explores the poor state of the American education system.

The film was a big hit at Sundance this year and got picked up Paramount very early on. Watching the trailer it’s hard to see why there is so much buzz surrounding the film. I found the trailer particularly underwhelming but hopefully the actual film will impress me as it did others.

I think it is worth pointing out that one of the talking heads comes from an Education Reformer who uses the word “stupider”. There are clearly issues with the American education system.

There's nothing wrong with the word stupider. Not according to OED and Websters and Collins.

Fair enough. I was always taught that you should use “more stupid” as “stupider” is not a word. I guess the British education system has its failings too.
