There are so many out there, so many ideas that are so un-american, that they would never make it to any Hollywood production. We need european heroes, playing in european themed stories (Howard is clearly an american writer, but his tales are quite complex and far from mainstream US fantasy like D&D and Eragon). A very good example would be Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher. Interesting and layered, grey protagonist created by a writer from Poland.<br><br>More Solomon Kane, more european heroes! :D Yay for more european action heroes!
