New Images from Spielberg & Hanks’ The Pacific
The lucky dabbers over at Sky Movies got to see a preview of the first two episodes of Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks follow up to Band of Brothers, The Pacific. We’ve been told that the first episode is: “Impressive” with the second being: “Legendary” and in the UK that it’ll be be coming to Sky Movie HD around Easter time and to HBO in the US.
Like Band Of Brothers, The Pacific follows the fortunes of individual soldiers as they battle their way through World War II. Joseph Mazzello – no longer the kid from Jurassic Park – leads the cast as Eugene B. Sledge, one of three marines whose stories intertwine against the backdrop of the Pacific Theater of Operations.
Sky have put a few teaser clips on their website along with some images from the new series. I’ve embedded the new images below but head over to Sky’s website to view the clips. The image below taken from the air is both beautiful and harrowing, just like band of Brothers was as a series. We have the trailer for the series which you can see here.
