The Back-Up Plan Has an International Trailer

2010 will be the year of artificial insemination comedy (art-insem-com?) with Alice’s Mia Wasikowska and Julianne Moore in Lisa Cholodenko’s The Kids Are All Right and Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman’s The Baster, (inspired by Sunset Beach perhaps?) and now we’ve got a trailer for The Back-Up Plan starring Jennifer Lopez. It’s not a million miles away from the US trailer we saw before Christmas but if you’re in the mood for J-Lo doing rom-com then take a look.

Sony Pictures have this as their synopsis:

After years of dating, Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) has decided waiting for the right one is taking too long. Determined to become a mother, she commits to a plan, makes an appointment and decides to go it alone. On the day of her artificial insemination, Zoe meets Stan (Alex O’Loughlin) a man with real possibilities.

Trying to nurture a budding relationship and hide the early signs of pregnancy becomes a comedy of errors for Zoe and creates confusing signals for Stan. When Zoe nervously reveals the reason for her unpredictable behavior, Stan commits fully and says hes in.

With hilarious consequences, no doubt. The film is out on the 7th of May.
