Okay, and saying it's focusing more on the private life of Peter Parker? Then they should make a movie: The Private Life of Peter Parker. It's like if they made Iron Man all about Stark's early life growing up as the heir to Stark Industries, and still called it Iron Man.

That really a major risk if Marc has only made one good film. It would be best to give him one film first and see how that turns out than 3 in my opinion.

He did a decent enough job on 500 Days of Summer. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was fairly enjoyable. More to the point, he mentioned at the Globes that he's a fan of Ultimate Spider-Man (although I suspect he's only become so on the orders of Sony), so it could be a good thing for the franchise.
