Kevin Smith’s Cop Out Gets a Poster

Kevin Smith’s excellently renamed Cop Out had a great trailer released recently, and the poster that was just put out via IGN may not jump out and grab you by the face, in fact it’s a touch generic for a film from such a unique director.

There’s not even a From the Director Of line anywhere – are Warner Bros that certain that Smith’s reputation counts for so little (or perhaps they’re worried that it actually works against the film?) that they are playing it so safe. There’s a lovely tag line, and if you can ignore the odd expression Bruce Willis has on his face then you’ll probably enjoy this one.

Nothing like a smoking gun held in a phallic manner to entice the masses, and we all remember how Smith’s last one was sold to the masses.
