Sam Raimi is total retard and doesn't know how to make comic movies. Spiderman 1 Green Goblin sucked. Plus Green Goblin was in all 3 movies in some way (way too much). Venom was not the venom from comic book lore. Character was too much like Peter Parker and Carnage. Venom was strong awesome character that stood toe to toe with Hulk and Juggnernaut and dies in 15 min of Spiderman 3. Lame movie.

Oh goodness me. I'm sorry, but Spiderman - even in the comics - was never about him dealing with this stuff at high school - and we kinda had a bit of that in the first film anyway. Another Spiderman set a few years after Spiderman 3 with Mary Jane and Peter dealing with relationship issues (like marriage for example, which happens in the comics) and the prospect of a new thread in terms of villians, could have taken it deeper and darker, and more grown up. The generation who grew up with it would be able to go that journey too.

But now they have ruined it. Maguire is Spiderman and Kirsten Dunst is Mary Jane. Now it will just look like a teenage soap version of Spiderman, aimed primarily at kids most likely. More Dawson's Creek meets Spiderman than the Spiderman 4 it should have been.

And above all losing Raimi, who loves the characters and has done largely a great job with the franchise, is ridiculous.

What's probably happened is they saw how Superman Returns failed to revive the old Superman franchise from the past (a totally different scenario) and that he needed rebooting, so they've applied that logic - wrongly - to Spiderman. (relatively speaking

Superman had had 20 years since his last film so needed rebooting, and he's getting it soon. Spiderman only needed space from the last film (which was poor) but now was the time to bring back the same characters/actors etc with that space gone and the next step along their development.

This is a spectacularly wrong move, even if the film makes money it won't be nearly as good in terms of quality from the way they are talking. It didn't need rebooting, and they've screwed up royally by making this decision.

I will go to see it, but will not have the high expectations I would have done with Raimi/Maguire/Dunst. It's just the wrong decision.

Spiderman is all about spandex. You try and make spiderman darker and it will lose all it's charm. Raimi was screwed on No.3 by the studio, there won't be a bigger fan of spiderman than Raimi. Studio didn't like idea of Vulture which would have been more psychological than physical, dam shame Raimi couldn't finish his vision.
Bloody idiots like you wanting everything to be like the new Batman, it's going to over saturate the Market and take the fun out these movies if they do.

Good, I love Spiderman, so much I would probably want to be the recpitant of the spiderman (look it up on the urban dictionary) but I thought the 3rd one sucked. Lets be honest, since the re-imagining of Batman in Batman begins, all Super hero films need to follow suit, be darker and less spandex and pants
