I know – it’s lucky Avatar didn’t have this bad boy to compete with. Going up against the cultural seismic event that is the Marmaduke Movie it truly would have been ‘Game Over Man’ for Cameron’s movie.
Disparaging comments aside, Twentieth Century Fox have let the teaser trailer for Marmaduke loose and it’s yours to watch below. It’s a little light on footage but it sets the tone nicely – it’s a movie about a talking dog and the kerazy antics he’ll get up too. It’s another family friendly rehash of a known character and it’s sure to find an audience somewhere.
A look at the cast and you have to wonder of the depth of pocket Fox had access to for this one to get off the ground, and yet I have to hope that my cynicism will be chewed up and spat out when this film is released next year.
