Funny: Michael Bay Directs Victoria Secret Advert

Michael Bay - Victoria SecretThis has nothing to do with film but made me laugh so much that I had to post it! Michael Bay was asked to direct the latest Christmas Victoria Secrets advert and I guess it’s probably hard to turn down when asked to basically look after lots of ladies wearing next to nothing.

However, in true Michael Bay style he brings in the helicopters, huge explosions and a rocking soundtrack in an ad that must have cost a fortune! That said, it may have cost him nothing as it could just be a montage of all previous Michael Bay films!

    This ad fails as a lingerie ad on so many levels, but totally succeeds as a Bay showreel: slo mo helicopter, people shot from lowdown angles, colour tints, cool baroque interiors

    and that shot coming through the doors into the room is straight out of Bad Boys!

    Bay: this shot of 3 beautiful women in lingerie just isn't enough, it needs something else.

    DP: maybe adjust the lighting?

    Bay: WE NEED AN EXPLOSION! Find something, anything and blow it up!!
