A Closer Look at Avatar: New Featurette

If you can’t get enough Avatar then you’ll love this one.

The guys at /Film have pointed us to a new featurette featuring James Cameron talking over his latest epic, whose release next month has been buoyed by hype for months now, and according to those who have seen the Comic Con footage, or the 15 minutes shown at Avatar day, Avatar will change the way we think of 3D films, and may very well by Cameron’s magnum opus.

My only concern is that films such as District 9 found a way to use CG in such a subtle and integrated way that the story, with all its complex turns and mixed motives, was always the focus, and from what I’ve seen of Avatar so far I’m not convinced the story will hold.
