Ed-Helms-Zach-Galifianakis-and-Bradley-Cooper-in-The-Hangover-Part-IIIAlong with The Wolverine, one of the biggest blockbusters of the year to remain without a first trailer, or even a first teaser trailer, is The Hangover Part III.

Todd Phillips’ latest movie will be released in theatres this coming May, and we’ve heard very, very little from the film. And I’m taking that as an awesome sign.

We know that the film won’t be taking the same formula as the original films, and so the fact that things are being kept under wraps suggests that we’ve got a lot of fun in store for us, in my books. The sequel was a huge success back in 2011, taking more than half a billion dollars. And I have a very good feeling that the next instalment, completing the trilogy, is going to be another big hit for Warner Bros.

The official synopsis remains under wraps, and that’s one of the reasons I’m taking to be a good sign that this is going to be brilliant.

Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Justin Bartha will be back for one final outing as the Wolfpack. Naturally, they’re joined by another awesome ensemble, led by Ken Jeong, John Goodman, Heather Graham, Jamie Chung, Jeffrey Tambor, and Mike Epps.

Phillips is directing from a script he co-wrote with Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part II), with Phillips producing alongside frequent collaborator Daniel Goldberg (Due Date, The Hangover).

The Hangover Part III will be released on 24th May in the UK and US. The only potential issue I can see is the fact that that release date sees it going head-to-head with Fast and Furious 6. I remain optimistic that both films will do incredibly well that weekend. But I’m also aware that the clash means the two films will be taking business away from each other. I shall be aiming for a double-bill that weekend, and I hope you’ll do the same and see them both. For now, here are the two latest images from The Hangover Part III. The odds are good that the first trailer will be following shortly.
