Beautiful Creatures will be heading into theatres in time for the Valentine’s weekend next year, and is one of the first contenders setting its sights on the gap left open by the conclusion of The Twilight Saga last month.
We saw an impressive new trailer hit last month, soon followed by three character posters for Alice Englert, Alden Ehrenreich, and Emmy Rossum, and now the next two posters in the series have debuted online.
“A supernatural love story set in the South, “Beautiful Creatures” tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.”
Englert (Ginger & Rosa), Ehrenreich (Stoker), and Rossum (The Phantom of the Opera) are joined by an excellent supporting cast, led by Emma Thompson (Love Actually), Jeremy Irons (Margin Call), Thomas Mann (Project X), and Viola Davis (The Help), with Mann and Thompson seen in the new posters below.
Richard LaGravenese (Water for Elephants) is behind the camera, directing from his own script, adapting the first in the best-selling series of novels by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.
Beautiful Creatures is set to hit theatres in the UK and US on 13th February, 2013, perfectly primed for the young romantics heading into theatres for the Valentine’s Day weekend. For now, here are the latest two posters for the upcoming blockbuster, which you can click through to enlarge.
