7. Green Arrow & Green Lantern

GA&GL

After Smallville spent its last couple of seasons doing little more than disappointing fans, no one really had very high hopes for Arrow on the CW. Thankfully it would go on to surprise everyone, and is now considered to be one of the best superhero adaptations of all-time in terms of tone and storytelling.  This has of course led to many demanding that Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen be made part of DC’s Cinematic Universe as part of the planned Justice League movie, and what better way to introduce him to a mainstream audience than to pair him up with Green Lantern? Neal Adams’ stories from the 1970s featuring the duo are rightly considered to be classics, and any one of them would make for the basis of a great movie.
