In the midseason finale of Arrow, we caught a glimpse of Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen getting the powers which ultimately lead to him becoming The Flash. In the planned TV show, it has already been confirmed that he will be joined by Iris West and her father, but the rumour mill now claims that Justice League of America member Vibe will also be a supporting character in the CW series. However, which other lesser known DC characters could join the Scarlet Speedster in 2014? Well, we’ve put together a list of ten possibilities, so check them out below and then let us know what you think in the usual place!

10. Gorilla Grodd

Ok, so this one might be a little tricky to pull off, but it would be a real shame to not see the fearsome Gorilla Grodd in The Flash’s latest small screen outing. Special effects equivalent to those seen in Rise of the Planet of the Apes are obviously a pipedream for any TV series, but it’s not really all that difficult to imagine a character like this (and his army) being brought to life through the use of practical make-up effects which are then enhanced by CGI. Like the majority of DC characters, there have been many different portrayals of this villain over the years, thereby giving the team working on The Flash plenty of material to work with. The latest has shown Grodd as the maniacal leader of Gorilla City, although a confrontation with Barry Allen would later result in him becoming obsessed with the Speed Force (the extra-dimensional energy force which gives The Flash his powers).

Interesting List… I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of the Suicide Squad members cross over into The Flash series as well. Waller will be interested in a vigilante with super speed powers.
